The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Business Management is aimed at developing and empowering entrepreneurs, leaders and managers  who fully appreciate the relevance of the Fifth Industrial Revolution (5IR) and the importance of socio-economic transformation of the workplace that represents current and future realities. Students will focus on the key elements of leadership, business management, organisational behaviour, whole-person development, holistic thinking, technology, and creativity in management as a precursor to innovation. The programme focuses on the business leadership domain traversing disciplinary boundaries in the fields of  psychoanalysis, behavioural and business management theories.

The Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management prepares future business leaders to realise their true potential and to perform their jobs constructively within a modern enterprise.  As future entrepreneurs, business leaders and managers of a multifaceted and transdisciplinary world of work, learners develop ethics, intelligence, collaboration and knowledge as a cluster of skills and capabilities required within varied enterprise contexts.

The qualification is structured in a way that introduces individuals to the core competencies needed to identify and leverage all kinds of business opportunities, be it entrepreneurial,  private or social enterprises, and establishes the process and practices that will enhance the viability of its systems and endeavours.


The curriculum is founded on a blend of widely acknowledged Business Management disciplines, associated with the choice of elective modules in the curriculum that focus on students’ skills in a particular arena.

Higher Certificate
